It will be nice through tomorrow with just a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm tomorrow afternoon or evening in Northeastern PA. Highs will be in the 80’s to low 90’s.
Thursday, showers and thunderstorms will be likely, and they could be heavy at times, as a cold front approaches our area from the west. Highs will be in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s.
Thursday a tropical system will develop in the Northern Gulf of Mexico that will likely be named Barry. This storm will then move west northwestward, making landfall along the Louisiana Coast late Friday night into early Saturday morning. The storm could reach hurricane strength prior to landfall.
Friday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as the cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 70’s and 80’s.
Saturday and Sunday will then be nice with highs in the 80’s Saturday and the 80’s to low 90’s Sunday.
Monday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm as warm and moist air starts to stream northeastward into our area ahead of the remnants of Barry. Highs will be in the upper 70’s and 80’s.
Next Tuesday, July 16th, through next Sunday, July 21st, are then looking variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm each day as warm and moist air and the remnants of Barry slowly pass through our area. Highs will be in the 80’s to low 90’s next Tuesday and Wednesday, and the mid 80’s to low 90’s next Thursday through Sunday.
Next Monday, July 22nd, is then looking variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the 80’s.
