The remnants of Hurricane Barry will be passing through our area today and tomorrow and will bring us a chance for showers and thunderstorms. The thunderstorms have the potential to be severe in parts of our area this afternoon and evening with the potential for heavy rain, strong wind, small hail, and possibly even isolated tornadoes. Highs today will be in the low to mid 80’s in Northeastern PA, on the South Shore of Long Island and on Eastern Long Island, the mid 80’s to low 90’s in East Central PA, Northwestern NJ, and Orange and Putnam Counties in NY State, the low to mid 90’s in Northeastern NJ, NYC, Rockland and Westchester Counties in NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT, and in the mid 90’s in Central NJ.
Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm, especially in the morning. Highs will be in the 80’s.
Friday things will start to warm, as a southerly wind develops ahead of a cold front slowly approaching from the west. Highs will be in the 80’s on Long Island, the upper 80’s to low 90’s in Northeastern PA, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT, the upper 80’s to mid 90’s in NYC, the low 90’s in Northwestern NJ, the low to mid 90’s in East Central PA, Northern and Coastal NJ, and in the mid to upper 90’s in Central NJ.
Saturday will be variably cloudy with just a slight chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm. It will be HOT, with highs in the upper 80’s to low 90’s on Coastal Long Island, the low to mid 90’s in Northeastern PA and inland Eastern Long Island, the mid 90’s in East Central PA, Northwestern NJ, Orange and Putnam Counties in NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT, the mid to upper 90’s in Rockland and Westchester Counties in NY State and on inland sections of Western Long Island, the upper 90’s to low 100’s in Northeastern and Coastal NJ and in NYC, and in the low to mid 100's.

Next Wednesday, July 24th, and next Thursday, July 25th, there will be a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm, depending upon how close the stationary front is to our area. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s.
Next Friday, July 26th, and next Saturday, July 27th, are then looking nice with highs in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s.
Next Sunday, July 28th, through next Tuesday, July 30th, are currently looking variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s.
