Thursday, August 29, 2019 - Evening Weather Discussion

All eyes turn to Hurricane Dorian…

Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm as a cold front drops down from the north and through our area. Highs will range from the upper 70’s to low 80’s in Northeastern PA to the upper 80’s to low 90’s in Central NJ.

Saturday will then be nice with highs in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s.

Sunday clouds will increase with a chance of showers or thunderstorms developing in the afternoon or evening as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the 70’s to low 80’s.

Sunday through Tuesday, Hurricane Dorian will approach the Florida East Coast, possibly making landfall prior to turning north. There is a chance that Dorian could become a major hurricane prior to any potential landfall. It now appears there is also a chance that Dorian could turn north prior to landfall in Southern or Central Florida, either making landfall further north, or possibly even turning back out to sea. Monday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers or thunderstorms as the disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s.

Tuesday will then be nice with highs in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s.

Wednesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will range from the mid to upper 70’s in Northeastern PA to the upper 80’s to low 90’s in Central NJ.
