Sunday, September 1, 2019 - Morning Weather Discussion

Some severe thunderstorms possible tomorrow and then watching Category 5 Dorian…

Category 5 Dorian is approaching the Bahamas. Dorian will stall there for at least 12 hours, then turn north, paralleling the Florida Coast, then turn northeast, paralleling the coastal Carolinas, then heading out to sea. Dorian will likely do catastrophic damage to the Bahamas, and some severe coastal flooding is possible along the entire coast of the Southeastern United States. In our area though, Dorian will likely only get close enough to bring Central NJ a chance of some showers Thursday (especially along the coast), and a chance of a shower Friday.
