Tuesday, September 10, 2019 - Morning Weather Discussion

Showers/thunderstorms likely Thursday, possibly severe, more strong storms possible Saturday, and then watching for a potential tropical system…

Today will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.

Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm. Highs will range from the mid to upper 70’s on Long Island to the upper 80’s to low 90’s in West Central NJ.

Thursday will be mostly cloudy with showers or thunderstorms likely, as a cold front passes through our area. Some of the storms could be severe. Highs will range from the upper 60’s to low 70’s in Orange and Putnam Counties in NY to the low to mid 80’s in East Central PA and West Central NJ.

Friday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower in the morning, followed by clearing. Highs will be in the upper 60’s to low 70’s.

Saturday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a cold front passes through our area. Some of the storms could be severe. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.

Sunday through next Thursday, September 19th, are then looking nice with highs in the mid 70’s to low 80’s Sunday, the mid 70’s to mid 80’s Monday, the mid 70’s to low 80’s next Tuesday, the upper 70’s to mid 80’s next Wednesday, and the upper 70’s to mid 80’s next Thursday.

Next Friday and Saturday are then looking variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s next Friday and the mid 70’s to low 80’s next Saturday.

Next Sunday, September 22nd, is then looking nice with highs in the 70’s.

Next weekend a tropical system may develop near Cuba, the Florida Keys, or the Bahamas. This storm may then move northward along the East Coast, possibly developing into a hurricane. We will have to watch this system closely.

Next Monday, September 23rd is looking variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a tropical system may approach our area from the south. Highs will be in the 70’s.
