Hurricane Dorian could bring heavy rain and some wind to parts of our area Friday…

Hurricane Dorian will come very close to the coast of South Carolina tomorrow and the North Carolina Coast early Friday morning, possibly making landfall near Cape Lookout, NC. Dorian will then pass well off the coast Friday afternoon and night, bringing rain and wind to much of our area Friday. Click here for the latest on Dorian from the National Hurricane Center.

Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm in the afternoon or evening in Central NJ as Hurricane Dorian approaches from the Southeastern United States. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70’s.

Friday there will be a chance of rain developing from south to north across our area as Dorian approaches. The rain could be heavy at times in parts of our area, while other parts of our area may receive little if any rain. It will also be windy, with gusts of 20-30 mph possible inland, and up to 40 mph possible along the coast and on Long Island. Highs will be in the mid 60’s to mid 70’s.

Saturday and Sunday will then be variably cloudy with highs in the 70’s.

Monday and Tuesday will then be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the upper 60’s to mid 70’s.

Next Wednesday, September 11th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a cold front passes through our area. Some of the storms could be severe. Highs will be in the 70’s to low 80’s.

Next Thursday, September 12th, through next Tuesday, September 17th, are then looking nice with highs in the mid 60’s to low 70’s next Thursday and Friday, the low to mid 70’s next Saturday, and the mid 70’s to low 80’s next Sunday through Tuesday.
