Monday, October 14, 2019 - Evening Weather Discussion

A Nor’easter will affect our area Wednesday afternoon and night with strong wind and heavy rain…

It will be mostly sunny tomorrow with highs in the upper 50’s to mid 60’s.

Wednesday, two approaching disturbances will combine and explosively develop near the NJ Coast and Long Island, forming a powerful Nor’easter. This will cause clouds to increase in the morning, with rain developing in the afternoon and evening, becoming heavy at times and ending at night, except for possibly continuing into Thursday morning in Southeastern NY State and in Fairfield County, CT. There could be some flooding with total rainfall amounts of 1-3.5 inches throughout most of our area. It will also be quite windy, with gusts of 25-45 mph, except up to 60 mph possible on parts of Long Island.  Highs will be in the morning and will range from the upper 50’s to low 60’s in Northeastern PA to the upper 60’s to low 70’s in West Central NJ.

Thursday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower as the Nor’easter pulls away from our area. Highs will be in the 50’s.

Friday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or sprinkle in the morning, followed by clearing. Highs will be in the 50’s to low 60’s.

Saturday and Sunday will then be nice with highs in the mid 50’s to low 60’s Saturday and the 60’s Sunday.

Next Monday, October 21st, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower as a disturbance and cold front approach from the west. Highs will be in the mid 60’s to low 70’s.

Next Tuesday, October 22nd, will be variably cloudy with a chance of showers as a cold front and disturbance pass through our area. Highs will be in the mid 60’s to low 70’s.

Next Wednesday, October 23rd, and next Thursday, October 24th,  are then looking variably cloudy with a chance of a shower as the cold front and disturbance finally depart our area. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to mid 60’s next Wednesday and the 50’s to low 60’s next Thursday.

Next Friday, October 25th, is then looking nice with highs in the 50’s.

Next Saturday, October 26th, and next Sunday, October 27th, are then looking variably cloudy with a chance of a shower as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to low 60’s next Saturday and the 50’s next Sunday.

Have a wonderful evening!
