Strong Nor’easter with heavy rain and strong wind possible Wednesday…

There will be a chance of a shower tonight near the coast and on Long Island and then tomorrow and Tuesday will be nice with highs in the mid 60’s to low 70’s tomorrow and the upper 50’s to mid 60’s Tuesday.

Wednesday clouds will increase with rain developing in the morning and early afternoon from southwest to northeast across our area as a couple of strong disturbances approach our area from the west, developing into a Nor’easter off the NJ Coast and causing the rain to become heavy at times in the afternoon and evening, then ending at night. There could be some flooding with the potential for 1-3 inches of rain in parts of our area. It will also be quite windy, with gusts of 25-45 mph possible and up to 55 mph possible on Long island. Highs will be in the 60’s.

Thursday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a sprinkle. Highs will be in the upper 40’s and 50’s.

Friday through next Sunday, October 20th, will then be nice with highs rising from the 50’s Friday, to the upper 50’s to mid 60’s Saturday, and the mid 60’s to low 70’s Sunday.

Next Monday, October 21st, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower as a cold front approaches from the west. Highs will be in the mid 60’s to low 70’s.

Next Tuesday, October 22nd, through next Thursday, October 24th, are then looking mostly cloudy with a chance of showers as a disturbance and cold front slowly approach from the west. Highs will be in the mid 60’s to mid 70’s next Tuesday, the upper 50’s to mid 60’s next Wednesday, and the mid 50’s to low 60’s next Thursday.

Next Friday, October 25th and next Saturday, October 26th,  are then looking variably cloudy with highs in the mid 50’s to mid 60’s next Friday and Saturday and the mid 50’s to low 60’s next Saturday.
