Sunday, November 24, 2019 - Morning Weather Discussion

Rain and snow ending this afternoon and evening and then a windy Thanksgiving possible…

A disturbance is rapidly intensifying near our area this morning and is bringing rain and some freezing rain to the higher elevations of Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, and Orange County, NY. The rain will mix with and change to snow in parts of Northeastern PA before ending, and possibly into parts of Northwestern NJ and Orange and Putnam Counties in NY State. The rain and snow will end from southwest to northeast this afternoon and evening as the storm pulls away from our area. There could be a trace to an inch of snowfall accumulation in the higher elevations of parts of Northeastern PA. Highs will be this morning and will range from the mid 30’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 50’s near the coast and on Eastern Long Island.
