Today there will be freezing rain and rain, with some snow possible in parts of Northeastern PA, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT. Temperatures rising above freezing in East Central PA around daybreak and in much of Northeastern NJ in the late morning or early afternoon, with temperatures remaining below freezing in much of Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State and in Fairfield County, CT. The precipitation will continue through the day, ending this evening from west to east. Total ice accumulation of up to a half of in inch in parts of Northeastern PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT. Highs will be in the 30’s, except some low to mid 40’s in East Central NJ and on Eastern Long Island.

Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow flurry or snow shower in the afternoon or evening as some Lake Effect moisture may reach our area. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.
Thursday through next Saturday, December 28th, are then looking nice with highs in the upper teens and 20’s Thursday, the mid 20’s to mid 30’s Friday, the low to mid 30’s Saturday, the low to mid 40’s Sunday, the mid to upper 40’s Monday and Christmas Eve, the upper 30’s to mid 40’s Christmas Day and next Thursday, the mid 30’s to mid 40’s next Friday, and the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Saturday.
Next Sunday, December 29th, clouds will increase with a chance of rain or snow developing at night as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
Next Monday, December 30th, there will be a chance of rain or snow with highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
