Tomorrow through Wednesday morning will be variably cloudy with a chance of snow flurries in Northeastern PA. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s tomorrow and Monday, and in the 30’s to low 40’s Tuesday.
Wednesday through Friday are then looking variably cloudy with highs in the 30’s Wednesday, the low to mid 30’s Thursday, and the mid 30’s to low 40’s Friday.
Friday, a disturbance will be developing in the Southern Jet Stream in the Gulf of Mexico. Meanwhile another disturbance will be moving eastward towards the Great Lakes area in the Northern Jet Stream. We will have to wait and see how much interaction there is between these two disturbances. It appears that the disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico will be quite strong and IF these two disturbances interact they could combine to form a strong Nor’easter that could affect our area. If these two disturbances fail to interact, the two disturbances would likely miss our area completely, leaving us dry. At this moment I am leaning towards the two disturbances interacting and forming a strong Nor’easter, but it is too early to tell for sure, so check back for updates the next few days.
This leaves us with a chance for rain or snow next Saturday, February 1st. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s depending on if and how the potential Nor’easter develops.
Next Sunday, February 2nd, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.
Next Monday, February 3rd, through next Wednesday, February 5th are looking variably cloudy with highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s next Monday, the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Tuesday, and the mid 30’s to mid 40’s next Wednesday.
Next Thursday, February 6th, is then looking variably cloudy with a chance of rain or snow showers as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the 30’s.
Next Friday, February 7th is then looking variably cloudy with highs in the 30’s.
Have a wonderful evening!
