Thursday, January 9, 2020 - Evening Weather Discussion

Record-breaking warmth possible this weekend, with showers and even thunderstorms possible, along with very strong winds…

Clouds will increase tomorrow with a chance of showers developing at night in Northeastern PA as a cold front and strong disturbance approach from the west. Highs tomorrow will be in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers as the cold front continues to approach from the west. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to mid 60’s.

Sunday there will be a chance of showers or thunderstorms, ending in the morning and early afternoon from west to east across our area as a strong cold front passes through our area. Winds could gust as high as 65 mph in some locations. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to mid 60’s.

Monday will then be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 40’s to low 50’s.

Tuesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower as a weak disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the low to mid 40’s.

Wednesday clouds will increase in the afternoon with a chance of a shower at night as another weak disturbance approaches our area. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to low 50’s.

Next Thursday, January 16th, there will be a chance of a shower in the morning, followed by clearing, as the disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the 40’s to low 50’s.

Next Friday, January 17th, clouds will increase with a chance of rain or snow developing at night as a strong disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.

Next Saturday, January 18th, there will be a chance of snow ending in the morning, followed by clearing as the disturbance departs our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Next Sunday, January 19th, will be variably cloudy with highs in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.

Next Monday, January 20th, will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.

Next Tuesday, January 21st, there will be a chance of snow as a disturbance passes near our area. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.

Next Wednesday, January 22nd, there will be a chance of snow ending in the morning, followed by clearing, with highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.
