Wednesday, January 8, 2020 - Morning Weather Discussion

Snow showers/flurries possible today and windy, then showers, a thunderstorm, and wind possible this weekend…

Today will be variably cloudy with a chance of snow showers or flurries as some moisture may reach our area from the Great Lakes. A trace to a coating of accumulation is possible in some locations. It will be windy, with gusts of up to 45 mph possible. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.

Tomorrow will be mostly sunny with highs in the low to mid 30’s.

Friday, clouds will increase with a chance of a shower at night in Northeastern PA as a disturbance and cold front slowly approach from the west. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers. It will be breezy with gusts of up to 40 mph possible. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to mid 60’s.

Sunday there will be a chance of a shower or thunderstorm in the morning, followed by clearing, as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the 50’s to low 60’s in the morning, dropping in the afternoon.

Monday clouds will increase with a chance of a shower at night as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the low to mid 40’s.

Tuesday there will be a chance of showers as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the 40’s.

Next Wednesday, January 15th will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower at night as a disturbance approaches our area. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.

Next Thursday, January 16th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.

Next Friday, January 17th, and next Saturday, January 17th, will be nice with highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.

Next Sunday, January 18th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.

Next Monday, January 19th, and next Tuesday, January 20th, are then looking variably cloudy with highs in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.
