Saturday, February 1, 2020 - Evening Weather Discussion

Some snow tonight and tomorrow night and then significant ice/snow possible in our area Wednesday night into Thursday morning…

It will be variably cloudy with a chance for light rain and light snow tonight into early tomorrow morning as a disturbance passes through our area. There could be a trace to a half inch of snowfall accumulation in Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern New York State, and in Fairfield County, CT. It will then be variably cloudy with light rain and light snow developing again in the late afternoon and evening tomorrow and ending early Monday morning as a warm front passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Monday, any light rain or light snow will end early in the morning, followed by clearing. There could be a trace to a half inch of snowfall accumulation in East Central PA, Central and Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT, with up to an inch of accumulation possible in Northeastern PA. Highs will be in the upper 40’s to mid 50’s.

Tuesday, clouds will increase with a slight chance of a shower in the afternoon or evening as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the upper 40’s and 50’s.

Wednesday there will be a chance of a shower during the day and then there will be rain, snow, and freezing rain developing at night as a strong disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.

Thursday, there will be a chance of rain, freezing rain, and snow, changing to rain in the morning. There could be some accumulation of snow in East Central and Northeastern PA, Northern NJ, Southern NY State, NYC, on Long Island, and in Fairfield County, CT, with significant amounts of freezing rain possible in East Central and Northeastern PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, NYC, on Long Island, and in Fairfield County, CT. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Friday, there will be a chance of rain ending in the morning, followed by clearing. Highs will be in the 40’s to low 50’s.

Next Saturday, February 8th, will be variably cloudy with highs in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.

Next Sunday, February 9th, there will be a chance of rain or snow in the morning, followed by clearing, as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Next Monday, February 10th, and next Tuesday, February 11th, are then looking variably cloudy with highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.

Next Wednesday, February 12th, clouds will increase with a chance of rain or snow developing as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the 30’s to low 40’s.

Next Thursday, February 13th, there will be a chance of rain or snow ending in the morning, followed by clearing. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.

Next Friday, February 14th, there will be a chance of rain or snow as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
