Saturday, February 29, 2020 - Morning Weather Discussion

Cold with some flurries possible today and tomorrow, then warming with rain, and then a slight chance of what Friday?

It will be variably cloudy today and tomorrow with a chance of a flurry as some Lake Effect moisture may reach our area. It will be cold today with highs only in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s, warming to the upper 30’s to mid 40’s tomorrow.

Monday, clouds will increase with a chance of light rain or showers developing at night as a disturbance slowly approaches from the west. Highs will range from the mid 40’s to low 50’s on Long Island and in Fairfield County, CT, to the upper 50’s to low 60’s in inland Central NJ.

Tuesday will be cloudy with a chance of light rain or showers in the afternoon and at night as the disturbance continues to slowly approach our area. Highs will be in the 50’s to low 60’s.

Wednesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower as the disturbance continues to approach from the west. Highs will be in the upper 40’s to mid 50’s.

Thursday there will be a chance of rain as the disturbance finally passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid to upper 40’s.

Friday there will be a slight chance of rain or snow as there is a small chance that a Nor’easter will develop along the Middle Atlantic Coast. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s, or colder, if this storm develops.

Next Saturday, March 7th, through next Thursday, March 12th, are then looking variably cloudy with highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Saturday, the mid to upper 40’s next Sunday, the low to mid 50’s next Monday, the upper 40’s to mid 50’s next Tuesday, and the 50’s next Wednesday and Thursday.

Next Friday, March 13th, is then looking variably cloudy with a chance of a shower. Highs will be in the upper 40’s to mid 50’s.
