Sunday, February 2, 2020 - Evening Weather Discussion

Some snow tonight and then watching for some freezing rain and maybe some snow Thursday morning…

The light rain and light snow will end late tonight or early tomorrow morning as a warm front passes through our area. The snow could accumulate a coating to an inch in East Central PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT, and 1-3 inches in Northeastern PA.

Tomorrow will then be nice with highs in the upper 40’s to mid 50’s.

Tuesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower and then light rain will develop at night, with some light snow possible in far northern Northeast PA. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.

Wednesday, there will be light rain, possibly changing to light snow in parts of our area as a cold front passes through our area, ending in the late afternoon. Highs will be in the mid to upper 30’s.

Thursday morning, rain, freezing rain, and snow, will develop throughout our area early in the morning, changing to rain, as a strong disturbance passes through our area. There could be a significant accumulation of ice in East Central and Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT. Highs will be at night in the upper 30’s and 40’s.

Friday there will be rain, ending in the afternoon. Highs will be in the 40’s to low 50’s.

Saturday will then be nice with highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Next Sunday, February 9th, there will be a chance of rain or snow as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Next Monday, February 10th, through next Wednesday, February 12th, are then looking variably cloudy with highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Monday, the upper 30’s to mid 40’s next Tuesday, and the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Wednesday.

Next Thursday, February 13th, there will be a chance of rain or snow as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be  in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Next Friday, February 14th and next Saturday, February 15th, are looking variably cloudy with highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
