Wednesday, February 26, 2020 - Morning Weather Discussion

A disturbance and cold front are approaching and thank you John Elliott from CBS 2 New York!

John Elliott from CBS Channel 2 was nice enough to come to my school today to talk to the students, hence the photo below. Thank you Mr. Elliott for your presentation. The students and I truly enjoyed it very much! That is me on the left and John Elliott from CBS, Channel 2 in New York City on the right.

Today will be cloudy with a chance of a sprinkle or a little light rain during the day, then rain will develop at night, and possibly a thunderstorm as a disturbance and cold front approach from the west. It will become breezy at night with gusts up to 40 mph possible. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to low 50’s.

Tomorrow the rain will end in the morning, followed by clearing. It will be windy, with gusts up to 50 mph, as the cold air starts to surge into our area behind the cold front. Highs will range from the low to mid 30’s in Northeastern PA to the low to mid 40’s on Long Island.

Friday and Saturday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a flurry and it will be windy Friday, with gusts up to 40 mph possible. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s Friday and the upper 20’s to mid 30’s Saturday.

Sunday and Monday will then be nice, but with increasing cloudiness late in the day Monday. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s Sunday and the 40’s Monday.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of a shower, especially at night, as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the 50’s.

Next Wednesday, March 4th, will be cloudy with showers likely as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to low 60’s.

Next Thursday, March 5th, through next Tuesday, March 10th, are then looking nice with highs in the upper 40’s and 50’s next Thursday, dropping to the upper 30’s to mid 40’s next Friday and the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Saturday and Sunday, then rising to the upper 30’s to mid 40’s next Monday and the low to mid 40’s next Tuesday.

Have a fantastic day!
