Accumulating snow in parts of our area today and more possible Wednesday…

A disturbance is approaching from the west this morning and will develop into a Nor’easter off the NJ Coast later today.  It will become windy near the coast, in NYC, and on Long Island. Highs today will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Total possible snowfall accumulation:

A trace to an inch possible:  Central NJ, NYC, and Long Island

A coating to an inch or two possible:  East Central PA, Northeastern NJ, Southern Westchester County, NY

1-3 inches possible:  Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, the rest of Southeastern NY State, Fairfield County, CT

Tomorrow will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 40’s and 50’s.

Wednesday rain and snow will develop in the morning, ending at night as another disturbance approaches from the west, turning into a Nor’easter. Significant snowfall accumulation will be possible in Northeastern PA, with lighter accumulations possible in East Central PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT. It will become windy near the coast with gusts up to 45 mph possible. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Thursday will be variably cloudy with highs in the upper 40’s to mid 50’s.

Friday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the low to mid 50’s.

Saturday there will be a chance of rain as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 40’s to mid 50’s.

Sunday through next Tuesday, March 31st, are then looking nice with highs in the 50’s Sunday, the upper 40’s to mid 50’s next Monday, and the 50’s next Tuesday.

Next Wednesday, April 1st, through next Friday, April 3rd will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower. Highs will be in the 50’s next Wednesday, the 50’s to low 60’s next Thursday, and the low to mid 50’s next Friday.

Next Saturday, April 4th, and next Sunday, April 5th, are then looking variably cloudy with highs in the low to mid 50’s next Saturday and the upper 40’s to mid 50’s next Sunday.
