Sunday, March 1, 2020 - Morning Weather Discussion

Warming with a bit of rain likely tomorrow night and Tuesday night, and then watching Friday…

Today will be variably cloudy with highs in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.

Tomorrow clouds will increase with a chance of light rain or drizzle at night as a weak disturbance passes through our area. Highs will range from the upper 40’s on Eastern Long Island to the upper 50’s to mid 60’s in Central NJ.

Tuesday, clouds will increase with a chance of light rain developing in the afternoon and continuing through the night. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to low 60’s.

Wednesday will be variably cloudy with highs in the 50’s.

Thursday, clouds will increase with a chance of rain or snow developing at night as a couple of disturbances approach our area, one from the Gulf Coast area and one dropping southeastward from Southern Canada and through the Great Lakes area. These two disturbances may start to combine near the Middle Atlantic Coast Thursday night, causing rain or snow to develop. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to low 50’s.

Friday there will be a chance of a Nor’easter developing near the Middle Atlantic Coast, bringing us a chance of rain or snow. Highs will be in the low to mid 40’s, or colder if the Nor’easter affects our area.

Saturday, through next Tuesday, March 10th, are then looking nice with highs in the 30’s to low 40’s Saturday, the 40’s next Sunday, the mid to upper 50’s next Monday, and the mid to upper 50’s next Monday and Tuesday

Next Wednesday, March 11th, clouds will increase with a chance of showers developing in the afternoon and continuing through the night as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 40’s to mid 50’s.

Next Thursday, March 12th, will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 40’s to mid 50’s.

Next Friday, March 13th, will be variably cloudy with highs in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.

Next Saturday, March 14th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to low 50’s.
