Tuesday, April 7, 2020 - Morning Weather Discussion

Warm today, but quite unsettled over the next two weeks with a blizzard in Maine on Friday…

It will start out nice, and warm today, but showers will develop this afternoon and evening as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs today will be in the upper 50’s to mid 60’s.

Tomorrow, rain will be likely in the morning and then it will be variably cloudy with a chance of showers as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to mid 60’s.

Thursday there will be a chance of rain, with some clearing likely late in the day as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 40’s and 50’s.

Friday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a flurry or sprinkle as a strong Nor’easter develops off the New England Coast, potentially bringing blizzard conditions to Central and Northern Maine with 1-2 feet of snow possible. Highs Friday will be in the 40’s in our area.

Saturday is then looking mostly sunny with highs in the mid 40’s to low 50’s.

Sunday, clouds will increase with rain developing at night as a disturbance passes through the Great Lakes area. Highs will be in the 50’s.

Monday the rain will end late in the day as the disturbance departs our area. Highs will be in the upper 50’s and 60’s.

Next Tuesday, April 14th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of showers developing as another disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to low 60’s.

Next Wednesday, April 15th, there will be a chance of rain as the disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.

Next Thursday, April 16th, is then looking variably cloudy with highs in the mid 40’s to low 50’s.

Next Friday, April 17th, through next Monday, April, 20th, are then looking variably cloudy with a chance of some showers, especially next Saturday, as a stationary front may develop near our area, with several disturbances potentially developing along this front and riding through our area. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to low 50’s next Friday, the upper 40’s to mid 50’s next Saturday, and the 50’s next Sunday and Monday.
