Saturday, June 6, 2020 - Daily Weather Discussion

Chance of a shower or thunderstorm today and then a hurricane hits Louisiana, but nice here tomorrow through Tuesday…

Tropical Storm Cristobal is currently located in the Central Gulf of Mexico and will move northward, likely reaching hurricane strength prior to making landfall in Louisiana early Monday morning. There could be severe flooding in the New Orleans area from this storm as it will be slow moving and the onshore wind flow will likely cause the water to surge into the New Orleans area. We will need to keep a close eye on this storm. The remnants of Cristobal will then move northward through the Mid-West and then into Canada, going well north of our area. Today will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm during the day, with clearing at night as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s.

Tomorrow through Tuesday will then be nice with highs rising from the upper 60’s to mid 70’s tomorrow, to the 70’s Monday, and the mid 70’s to mid 80’s Tuesday.

Wednesday, clouds will increase with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm at night as a cold front approaches from the west. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s.

Thursday will be variably cloudy with a chance of showers or thunderstorms as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the 70’s to low 80’s.

Friday will be variably cloudy with highs in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s.

Next Saturday, June 13th, and next Sunday, June 14th, will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as another cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the 70’s next Saturday and the upper 60’s to mid 70’s next Sunday.

Next Monday, June 15th, through next Friday, June 19th, are then looking nice with highs rising from the upper 60’s to mid 70’s next Monday, to the 70’s next Tuesday, and the mid 70’s to low 80’s next Wednesday through Friday.
