We will still the need to watch the tropics for the possibility of a tropical system to affect the East Coast some time next week. There is much uncertainty in the data today as to whether the system in the Middle of the Atlantic right now will develop and become something that we will need to keep an eye on. However, even if that is not the one we need to watch, there may be another shortly, as many strong disturbances are currently moving westward through Africa and will move out into the Atlantic this week. Click here to view the latest information from the National Hurricane Center. The one to watch right now is the red X that is depicted in the middle of the Atlantic, east of Africa.
