A long-term heat wave possible for parts of our area starting tomorrow and going through at least the next two weeks…

Happy Independence Day!

OK, I don’t remember the last time I saw anything like this, but it appears that parts of our area could see a heat wave lasting from tomorrow through at least the next two weeks. The area where this will be mostly likely will be in East Central PA (inland from the ocean).

A heat wave is defined as three days in a row with high temperatures of at least 90 degrees.

There will also be at least a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm nearly every day, especially Monday and Tuesday afternoon or evening, and next Saturday, July 11th.

Highs will be in the 80’s today but will then warm to generally the mid 80’s to mid 90’s through at least the next 2 weeks.
