Thursday, July 30, 2020 - Daily Weather Discussion

Flooding potential tomorrow in parts of our area and then again  Monday through Wednesday…

A strong disturbance will pass through our area tomorrow, possibly bringing parts of our area some flooding rains. After that, we will have to watch Tropical Storm Isaias that has formed in the Caribbean Sea.  Tropical Storm Isaias will move northeastward, possibly making landfall along the Florida East Coast Saturday night or Sunday morning.  Isaias will then turn north and then northeast, passing through our area Monday through Wednesday, possibly with flooding rains. The rest of today will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm, especially in the Northeastern PA and along the NJ Coast. Highs will be in the mid 80’s to mid 90’s.

Tomorrow there will be a chance of showers or thunderstorms, especially in the morning in Central NJ and on Long Island, possibly heavy at times in Central NJ and on Long Island, with some flooding possible there, as a strong disturbance rides along a stalled out frontal boundary near our location. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.

Saturday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the 80’s.

Sunday will be variably cloudy with a chance of shower or thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon or evening as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the 80’s.

Monday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers or thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon and at night, possibly heavy at times at night as Tropical Storm Isaias or the remnants of Tropical Storm Isaias approach our area. Highs will be in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s.

Tuesday there will be a chance of showers or thunderstorms, possibly heavy at times, as Tropical Storm Isaias or the remnants of Tropical Storm Isaias continue to pass through our area. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.

Wednesday there will be a chance of showers or thunderstorms, possibly heavy at times, especially in the morning, as Tropical Storm Isaias or the remnants of Tropical Storm Isaias continue passing through our area. Highs will be in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s.

Next Thursday, August 6th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of showers or thunderstorms, especially in the morning as another disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.

Next Friday, August 7th, through next Monday, August 10th, are then looking nice with highs in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s next Friday and the upper 70’s to mid 80’s next Saturday through Monday.

Next Tuesday, August 11th and next Wednesday, August 12th, will be variably cloudy with a sight chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s.
