Thursday, July 9, 2020 - Daily Weather Discussion

A disturbance and possibly even a Tropical Storm will develop along the Middle Atlantic Coast tomorrow and Saturday…

Today will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the mid 80’s to low 90’s.

A disturbance is currently forming near the North Carolina Coast and will move northward, possibly developing into a Tropical Disturbance or Tropical Storm tomorrow. This disturbance will pass very near the Middle Atlantic Coast, so it should not have a chance to develop into a strong storm, and any strong winds that develop will likely remain off shore, as we will be on the weak side of the storm as it moves up the coast. There could however be some heavy rain, which could cause flooding in parts of our area.

Tomorrow, rain will develop from south to north in the morning, possibly becoming heavy at times at night, as the center of the storm passes closest to our area. Highs will be in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s.

Saturday there will be rain, possibly heavy at times in the morning, then it will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm, as the storm departs our area. Highs will be in the 80’s to low 90’s.

Sunday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the mid 80’s to low 90’s.

Monday will be variably cloudy with a chance of showers or thunderstorms, as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the 80’s to low 90’s.

Tuesday through next Sunday, July 19th, are then looking nice with highs gradually rising from the 80’s Tuesday, to the mid 80’s to low 90’s Wednesday, and the mid 80’s to mid 90’s next Thursday through Sunday.

Next Monday, July 20th, is then looking variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the mid 80’s to mid 90’s.

Next Tuesday, July 21st, and next Wednesday, July 22nd, are again looking nice with highs in the mid 80’s to mid 90’s.
