Extreme heat in the West and then a major summer snowstorm in areas like Denver the next day bringing lots of power outages…
The situation in the West is really historic between the extreme heat with temperatures in the 90’s today in Denver, followed immediately by a major snowstorm that could bring areas in and around Denver nearly a foot of snow. This heavy summer snowstorm will likely cause major power outages in any areas that get the heavy snow. I hope the power companies out there are calling nationwide for electrical help in advance, because they will need it. Below are the latest projected snowfall maps from the European model for the Rockies, courtesy WeatherBell Analytics.
