Remnants of Hurricane Sally to pass south of our area Thursday night into Friday morning…
Hurricane Sally has made landfall Between Mobile, Alabama and Pensacola, Florida, as a category 2 storm and will bring very serious flooding to those area. The remnants of Sally will then track Northeastward, exiting the coast of the Carolinas Friday night. This track will bring a chance of showers as far north as Central NJ and Long Island Thursday night into Friday morning. In our area, today will be variably cloudy with highs in the upper 60’s to mid 70’s.
Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a chance of showers late at night in Central NJ and on Long Island as the remnants of Hurricane Sally pass off the coast of the Carolinas. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70’s.
Friday will be variably cloudy with a chance of showers early in the morning in Central NJ and on Long Island, and a slight chance elsewhere, as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the 60’s.
It is then looking as if we will have an extended period of nice weather this weekend through the following weekend and into the beginning of the following week with highs gradually rising from the upper 50’s to mid 60’s Saturday and Sunday, to the low to mid 60’s Monday, the mid 60’s to low 70’s Tuesday, the 70’s next Wednesday, September 23rd, and the mid 70’s to low 80’s next Thursday, September 24th, then dropping back a touch to the 70’s next Friday, September 25th and Saturday, September 26th, then rising again to the mid to upper 70’s next Sunday, September 27th, and the mid 70’s to low 80’s next Monday, September 28th.
Next Tuesday, September 29th, is then looking variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a cold front approaches from the west. Highs will be in the 70’s.
