Thursday, October 8, 2020 - Daily Weather Discussion


Hurricane Delta makes landfall tomorrow afternoon or evening with the remnants affecting our area Sunday night and Monday…


Hurricane Delta is in the Gulf of Mexico and will likely re-strengthen to major hurricane status prior to making landfall in Western Louisiana tomorrow afternoon or evening. The remnants of Hurricane Delta will reach us Sunday afternoon or evening, bringing us some rain that will last through the day on Monday. It will be nice through Saturday with temperatures gradually warming from the mid to upper 50’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 60’s in Central NJ today, the 60’s tomorrow, and the mid to upper 70’s Saturday.


Sunday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower in the morning, then rain will develop in the afternoon and evening from southwest to northeast as the remnants of Hurricane Delta approach our area. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60’s.


Monday, rain will be likely as the remnants of Hurricane Delta pass through our area. Highs will range from the mid 50’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 60’s in Central NJ.


Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 60’s to low 70’s.


Wednesday through next Friday, October 16th are then looking nice with highs in the 60’s Wednesday and the mid 60’s to low 70’s Thursday and next Friday.


Next Saturday, October 17th, and next Sunday, October 18th, there will be a chance of a shower as a cold front and disturbance approach from the west. Highs will range from the low 60’s in Northeastern PA to the upper 60’s to low 70’s in Central NJ next Saturday and from the mid to upper 50’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 60’s in Central NJ and on Long Island next Sunday.


Next Monday, October 19th, through next Wednesday, October 21st, are then looking nice with highs from the mid 50’s in Northeastern PA to the low 60’s in Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island.
