Tuesday, October 6, 2020 - Daily Weather Discussion


Variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or sprinkle today/tomorrow, warm Saturday, and then the remnants of Hurricane Delta…


Hurricane Delta, currently in the Caribbean Sea, will move northwest, reaching the Gulf of Mexico tomorrow, then will turn northward making landfall late Friday or early Saturday near the Texas/Louisiana border. The remnants of this storm may reach our area Saturday night and Sunday. Click here for the latest on Hurricane Delta from the National Hurricane Center.


Today and tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a chance of a sprinkle along the coast and on Long Island today, and mainly in Southeastern NY State and Fairfield County, CT, tomorrow. Highs will be in the mid 60’s to low 70’s today and in the mid 60’s to mid 70’s tomorrow.


Thursday and Friday will be variably cloudy with highs in the mid 50’s to mid 60’s Thursday and in the 60’s Friday.


Saturday, clouds will increase with a chance of a shower developing at night as the remnants of Hurricane Delta may approach our area. Highs will be in the 70’s.


Sunday through next Saturday, October 17th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower each day as the remnants of Hurricane Delta may pass through our area Sunday, and then a stationary front may develop near our area. Highs will be in the mid 60’s to low 70’s Sunday, the 60’s Monday, the mid 60’s to low 70’s next Tuesday, the upper 60’s to mid 70’s next Wednesday, the mid 60’s to low 70’s next Thursday and Friday, then dropping to the low to mid 60’s next Saturday, and the upper 50’s to mid 60’s next Sunday and Monday.
