Wednesday, October 28, 2020 - Daily Weather Discussion

A rainy day tomorrow into Friday, possibly ending as snow in some northern sections…

A disturbance currently situated along the New Mexico/Texas border area will combine with Hurricane Zeta, which will make landfall near New Orleans tonight. The remnants of Zeta will bring our area a rainy Thursday and the rain could possibly change to snow before ending in some northern parts of our area Friday, as the remnants of Zeta pull cold air into our area from the north and the disturbance from the New Mexico/Texas border area passes through our area. Click here for the latest on Hurricane Zeta from the National Hurricane Center.

Today there will be a chance of light rain or drizzle in the morning. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to mid 60’s.

Tomorrow there will be rain as the remnants of Hurricane Zeta pass through our area. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.

Friday the rain will end from around midday in western sections, to the late afternoon in eastern sections. There could be some light snowfall accumulations in some of the higher elevations of Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Orange and Putnam Counties in New York State, and in Northern Fairfield County, CT. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.

Saturday will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid to upper 40’s.

Sunday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower in the morning and again at night as a weak disturbance passes through our area in the morning and then a cold front passes through at night. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to low 60’s.

Monday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Tuesday through the following Tuesday, November 10th, are currently looking nice with highs only in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s Tuesday, rising to the low to mid 50’s next Wednesday, the low to mid 50’s next Wednesday, and the upper 50’s to mid 60’s next Thursday through Friday, and then dropping back slightly to the mid to upper 50’s next Saturday through Monday and the 50’s next Tuesday.
