A few Lake Effect snow showers or flurries in our area today into tomorrow morning and then nice with gradually warming temperatures…
Today and tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower or flurry today and in Southeastern NY State and on Long Island tomorrow morning as some Lake Effect moisture may reach our area. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.
Interestingly, Hurricane Eta is currently in the Caribbean Sea, and will likely make landfall on Nicaragua. This storm may stall out for several days, at least, and could actually strengthen to major hurricane status. This would be the strongest storm in recorded history in this area in the month of November, if it were to occur. Hurricane Eta may then turn northward and threaten Cuba, or possibly even Florida. Wednesday through next Monday, November 9th, are then looking nice with temperatures gradually warming from the mid 50’s to low 60’s Wednesday, to the low to mid 60’s Thursday, and the mid to upper 60’s Friday through next Monday.
Next Tuesday, November 10th, clouds will increase as a disturbance and cold front may approach our area. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60’s.
Next Wednesday, November 11th, through next Sunday, November 13th, are then looking potentially unsettled with a chance of a shower each day. Temperatures will gradually cool from the 60’s next Wednesday, to the mid 50’s to low 60’s next Thursday, and the 50’s next Friday through Sunday.
