Developing Nor’easter will change the rain to snow in parts of our area and then cold tomorrow…
A developing Nor’easter will slowly depart our area today, causing the rain to end slowly from southwest to northeast. The rain will change to snow in Putnam and Westchester Counties in Southeastern NY State and in Fairfield County, CT, and possibly on Western Long Island. There could be a trace to a coating of accumulation in Western Putnam and Westchester Counties in NY State and on Western Long Island tonight, a coating to 4 inches of accumulation will be possible in Fairfield County, CT. It will be windy, with gusts up to 40 mph possible inland, and up to 50 mph possible along the coast and on Eastern Long Island. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.
Tomorrow through next Sunday, December 13th, will then be nice, but it will start out cold with highs in the upper 20’s and 30’s tomorrow, gradually slowly rising to the 30’s Monday and Tuesday, the mid to upper 30’s Wednesday, the upper 30’s to mid 40’s Thursday, the low to mid 40’s Friday, and the 40’s next Saturday.
Next Monday, December 14th, clouds will increase with a chance of rain or snow developing at night as a disturbance approaches our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
Next Tuesday, December 15th, there will be a chance of rain or snow as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
Next Wednesday, December 16th, there will be a chance of rain or snow ending in the morning, followed by clearing, as the disturbance departs our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
Next Thursday, December 17th, will be variably cloudy with highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
Next Friday, December 18th, there will be a chance of rain or snow as another disturbance may pass through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s
