TODAY – mostly sunny, highs in the 30’s

 

TOMORROW – increasing cloudiness, snow developing in the late morning and afternoon from southwest to northeast, except a mixture of rain and snow likely in East Central NJ and possibly on Southeastern Long Island, becoming heavy at times at night, becoming windy at night, with gusts up to 50 mph possible inland and 60 mph along the coast and on Long Island, lows in the upper teens to mid 20’s, highs from the mid 20’s in Northeastern PA and Western Orange County, NY, to the low 40’s along the Central NJ Coast

 

THURSDAY – snow, heavy at times in the morning and a mixture of rain and snow likely in East Central NJ and possibly on Southeastern Long Island, ending in the afternoon from west to east, windy in the morning, with gusts up to 50 mph possible inland and 60 mph along the coast and on Long Island, lows from the low 20’s in Northeastern PA to the low 30’s along the coast and on Eastern Long Island, highs from the mid to upper 20’s in Northeastern PA, Southeastern NY State and Northern Fairfield County, CT, to the mid 30’s along the NJ Coast

 

Total possible snowfall accumulation:

 

1-6 inches:  Coastal Central NJ from south to north

 

2-12 inches:  inland East Central NJ from southeast  to northwest

 

6-12 inches:  Southeastern Long Island from southeast to northwest

 

6-15 inches:  West Central NJ from southeast to northwest

 

10-18 inches:  East Central PA (except far northern sections), Northern NJ (except far Northwestern NJ), NYC, and Long Island (except Southeastern Long Island)

 

12-24 inches:  northern portions of East Central PA, Westchester and Eastern Putnam Counties in NY State and Fairfield County, CT

 

14-24 inches with localized amounts of up to 30 inches possible:  Northeastern PA, far Northwestern NJ, Orange and Western Putnam Counites in NY State

 

FRIDAY – variably cloudy, lows in the mid teens to mid 20’s, highs in the mid 20’s to low 30’s

 

SATURDAY – variably cloudy, chance of a flurry at night, lows from the low to mid single digits well inland to the low 20’s along the NJ Coast, highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s

 

SUNDAY – variably cloudy, chance of a snow shower at night, lows in the 20’s to low 30’s, highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s

 

MONDAY – variably cloudy, chance of a snow shower in the morning, lows in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s, highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s

 

NEXT TUESDAY – variably cloudy, lows in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s, highs in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s
