Snow showers could accumulate in parts of our area tomorrow, especially in Northeastern PA…
Today will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow flurry or snow shower this morning in Northeastern PA as some Lake Effect moisture could reach that area. Highs will be in the 30’s.
Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a chance of snow showers as a weak disturbance passing through Southeastern Canada could pick up some moisture from the Great Lakes. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
Total possible snowfall accumulation:
Trace to a half inch: Central and Northeastern NJ, Southeastern NY State, NYC, and on Long Island
Coating to an inch possible: East Central PA and Northwestern NJ
Half inch to 3 inches possible: Northeastern PA
Thursday and Friday will then be nice and it will start warming up again with highs rising from the upper 30’s to mid 40’s Thursday to the mid 40’s to low 50’s Friday.
Saturday, clouds will increase with a chance of a shower in the afternoon or at night as a disturbance and cold front approach from the west. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.
Sunday will be variably cloudy with a chance of showers as the disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.
Monday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the 40’s.
Next Tuesday, December 15th, and next Wednesday, December 16th are then looking variably cloudy with highs in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s next Tuesday and the mid 30’s to mid 40’s next Wednesday.
Next Thursday, December 16th will be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower in the morning as a disturbance may pass through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
Next Friday, December 17th, through next Monday, December 21st, are then looking nice with highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s next Friday through Sunday, rising to the 40’s next Monday.
Those of you hoping for the first snowstorm of the year, you will want to keep an eye on the two disturbances next Week on Monday and Thursday. Either one, or both of these have the potential to develop into Nor’easters, but we will have to wait and see.
