Monday, January 25, 2021 - Daily Weather Discussion


Accumulating snow likely in much of our area tomorrow into Wednesday morning and then another system to watch Sunday and next Monday…


Today will be variably cloudy but with increasing cloudiness late in the day as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the mid to upper 30’s.


Tomorrow, light rain and light snow will develop in the morning from southwest to northeast, ending or becoming lighter with a chance of a rain or snow showers, sprinkles, or flurries at night. Highs will range from the upper 20’s in Northeastern PA to the low 40’s along the NJ Coast.


Wednesday, light rain and light snow or sprinkles or flurries will end in the morning as the disturbance departs our area. 1-3 inches of snowfall accumulation are likely in much of our area, with some amounts higher than 3 inches possible in parts of Northeastern PA, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT, and some amounts less than an inch possible in parts of Central NJ. Highs will range from the  low 30’s in Northeastern PA to the low 40’s in Central NJ.


Thursday into Friday morning will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower or flurry as some Lake Effect moisture may reach our area. Highs Thursday will range from the low 20’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 30’s in Central NJ and on Long Island and Friday from the mid teens in Northeastern PA to the mid 20’s in Central NJ.


Saturday will then be mostly sunny, but with some increase in cloudiness late in the day. Highs will range from the low 20’s in Northeastern PA to the low 30’s in Central NJ.


Sunday, there will be a chance of rain or snow developing as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.


Next Monday, February 1st, there will be a chance of rain or snow, ending at night, as the disturbance departs our area. Highs will be in the 30’s.


Next Tuesday, February 2nd and next Wednesday, February 3rd, are then looking nice with highs in the 30’s next Tuesday and the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Wednesday.


Next Thursday, February 3rd and next Friday, February 4th, are then looking variably cloudy with a chance of some rain showers as a cold front approaches from the west. Highs will be in the low to mid 40’s next Thursday and the 40’s next Friday.


Next Saturday, February 5th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower in the morning. Highs will range from the mid 30’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 40’s in Central NJ.


Next Sunday, February 6th, will be variably cloudy with highs in the 30’s.
