Wednesday, January 20, 2021 - Daily Weather Discussion

Chance of snow showers and flurries today, again Friday, and then watching two chances for snow next week…

Well, it is the middle of winter now and it has been usually warm so far. We did however manage to squeak in one snowstorm in December. There will be some snow showers and flurries around today and again Friday and then we will have to watch for two potential snowstorms next week. One possibility will be Monday night into Tuesday morning as a disturbance approaches from the west. It is still uncertain as to whether this disturbance will come far enough north to reach our area, but we will have to keep a close eye on it. The next possibility will be next Thursday as another disturbance approaches our area, potentially developing a  coastal storm, but it is still very much uncertain as to whether this storm will develop, or how close it will come to the coast if it does.

Today will be variably cloudy with a chance of snow showers or flurries, then clearing this afternoon and evening from west to east as a cold front passes through our area. A trace to an inch of accumulation will be possible. Highs will be in the 30’s.

Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.

Friday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower or flurry as a disturbance passes to our north. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.

Saturday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a flurry. Highs will be in the 20’s to low 30’s.

Sunday will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.

Monday, clouds will increase with a chance of snow developing at night as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the low to mid 30’s.

Tuesday there will be a chance of snow ending in the morning, followed by clearing. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.

Next Wednesday, January 27th, will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.

Next Thursday, January 28th, there will be a chance of snow, ending at night, as a disturbance approaches our area, possibly developing a storm near the coast. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.

Next Friday, January 29th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.

Next Saturday, January 30th, through next Tuesday, February, 2nd, are then looking nice with highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s next Saturday and Sunday, rising to the 30’s next Monday and the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Tuesday.
