Wednesday, January 27, 2021 - Evening Weather Discussion

The cold air is still on the way for this weekend, followed by a good chance at a Nor'easter Sunday night into Tuesday morning...

There were very few changes in the forecast from this morning with what is still looking like a good chance of a Nor'easter that would affect our area Sunday night through Tuesday morning, bringing the chance of some heavy snow to most of our area. It does look as if some rain will be possible near the NJ Coast.  I have posted below the latest European model ensemble mean (an averaging of the model run 50 different ways for various conditions), followed by the one from this morning. Keep in mind that the latest run only goes out to midday on Tuesday, so there would likely be more snow as you head up into New England. You will notice that the snow amounts changed very little, meaning that confidence is increasing as we get closer in time. The details will have to wait a bit though. For now, we need to look at the big picture.
