Saturday, February 13, 2021 - Daily Weather Discussion


A stationary front has developed near our area. Several disturbances will ride along this front, bringing a mixture of snow, sleet, freezing rain, and rain to our area through Friday…


Sleet and freezing rain will develop this afternoon and evening from south to north, with some snow mixed in, in Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT. Highs will be in the 20’s, with some low 30’s along the NJ Coast.


Tomorrow the sleet and freezing rain will end early in the morning with up to a half of an inch of ice accumulation possible, with locally higher accumulations of up to an inch possible. Highs will be in the mid 30’s.

Monday there will be light snow, sleet, freezing rain, and rain, developing in the afternoon and evening from west to east. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.


Tuesday there will be snow (mainly in far Northeastern PA), sleet and freezing rain (mainly in East Central PA, southern portions of Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Orange and Putnam Counties in NY State, and Fairfield County, CT), and a mixture of freezing rain and rain in Central and Northeastern NJ, NYC, and Long Island, ending in the afternoon evening from west to east. Highs will range from the low 30’s in Northeastern PA to the low 40’s in Central NJ.


Wednesday will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 20’s to low 30’s.


Thursday there will be rain, snow, freezing rain, and sleet as another disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.


Friday, the rain, snow, freezing rain, and sleet, will end during the day from west to east. Highs will range from the low 30’s in Northeastern PA to the low 40’s in Central NJ and on Long Island.


Next Saturday, March 20th, through next Friday, February 26th are currently looking nice with highs gradually rising from the upper 20’s to mid 30’s next Saturday, to the mid to upper 30’s next Sunday, the upper 30’s to mid 40’s next Monday and Tuesday, and the low to mid 40’s next Wednesday, then dropping back a touch to the upper 30’s to mid 40’s next Thursday and Friday.
