Saturday, February 20, 2021 - Daily Weather Discussion


A nice weekend and then a chance for some snow in much of our area Monday…


We will have a nice weekend with just a chance of a flurry this afternoon or evening. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s today and the upper 20;’s to mid 30’s tomorrow.


Monday there will be a chance of a snow shower or flurry in the morning, especially in Northeastern PA, Northern NJ, and Southeastern NY State, and then snow developing around 10-11  am in East Central and Northeastern PA, around 11 am to noon in West Central and Northwestern NJ and Orange County, NY, around noon in Northeastern NJ, Rockland and Putnam Counties in NY state and Northern Fairfield County, CT,  around 1 pm in NYC and Northern Fairfield County, CT, with a mixture of rain and snow developing around noon in East Central NJ and 1 pm on Western Long Island, with rain developing on Eastern Long Island between 1  and 2 pm, snow possibly gradually mixing with and possibly changing to rain in Northeastern NJ, Rockland and Westchester Counties in NY State, and in Southern Fairfield County, CT, and changing to rain East Central NJ, NYC, and on Western Long Island, ending around 3-4 pm in East Central and Northeastern PA, around 4 -5 pm in West Central and Northwestern NJ and Orange County, NY, around 5-6 pm in East Central and Northeastern NJ, NYC, the rest of Southeastern NY State, and NYC, and around 6-7 pm on Long Island and in Fairfield County, CT.  Lows will be in the mid teens to mid 20’s, with highs in the 30’s to low 40’s.


Total possible snowfall accumulation:


Trace to an inch:  East Central NJ, NYC, Western Long Island, Coastal Fairfield County, CT

 

1-3 inches:  West Central and Northeastern NJ, Southeastern NY State and Northern Fairfield County, CT

 

2-4 inches:  East Central and Northeastern PA and Northwestern NJ

Tuesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower or flurry in the afternoon or evening. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.


Wednesday through next Saturday, February 27th, are then looking nice with highs in the mid 40’s to low 50’s Wednesday, the upper 30’s and 40’s Thursday, the upper 20’s to mid 30’s Friday, and the mid 30’s to mid 40’s next Saturday. 


Next Sunday, February 28th, and next Monday, March 1st, are then looking variably cloudy with a chance of a rain shower. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to low 50’s.


Next Tuesday, March 2nd, there will be a chance of rain or snow as a disturbance may pass through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.


Next Wednesday, March 3rd, through next Friday, March 5th, are then looking nice with highs rising from the mid 30’s to mid 40’s next Wednesday, to the 40’s next Thursday, and the 40’s to low 50’s next Friday.
