Sunday, February 14, 2021 - Daily Weather Discussion

Very unsettled through Friday, but luckily warmer than it looked previously…

A stationary front has developed near our area and several disturbances will ride along this front over the next few days. Luckily though, the disturbances will track further northward than previously projected, allowing warmer air to move into our area, and slightly reducing the chances for ice, at least in southern sections.

Today will be mostly cloudy with light rain, snow, sleet, and freezing rain, with some light ice accumulation possible. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.

Tomorrow there will be light rain, snow, sleet, and freezing rain ending in the morning and then developing again at night, with freezing rain possible at night in East Central and Northeastern PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT. Highs will be in the low to mid 30’s.

Tuesday, there will be rain heavy at times in the morning, with freezing rain possible early in the morning in East Central and Northeastern PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT, followed by clearing. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 20’s to low 30’s.

Thursday snow will develop, changing to sleet and freezing rain and then rain. Highs will be in the 20’s to low 30’s.

Friday there will be rain, freezing rain, and sleet, ending in the morning and early afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.

Saturday and Sunday are then looking nice with highs in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s Saturday and the low to mid 30’s Sunday.

Next Monday, February 21st, there will be a chance of light snow or snow showers as a weak disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Next Tuesday, February 22nd, and then Wednesday, February 23rd, there will be a chance of a rain or snow shower with highs in the low to mid 40’s next Tuesday and the 40’s next Wednesday.

Next Thursday, February 24th, through next Saturday, February 26th are then looking variably cloudy with highs in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s next Thursday, the mid 30’s to mid 40’s next Friday, and the upper 30’s to mid 40’s next Saturday.
