A highly active weather pattern with lots of wintry type weather ahead, with the potential for significant ice Sunday, Tuesday, and next Thursday…
It looks as if the short-range American model did a good job again with the snow totals.

A stationary front has developed near our area. Strong disturbances will be developing along this front and passing through our area Sunday, Tuesday, and next Thursday, bringing the potential for significant wintry precipitation, including significant icing possible.
The snow will end this morning, followed by clearing. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.
Tomorrow will be mostly sunny, but cold, with highs in the low to mid 20’s.
Saturday, clouds will increase with snow, sleet, and freezing rain developing at night as a strong disturbance approaches. Highs will be in the mid to upper 20’s.
Sunday, the snow, sleet, and freezing rain will change to rain in parts of our area as the disturbance passes through. There could be a significant accumulation of ice in parts of our area. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.
Monday, clouds will increase with snow developing at night as another strong disturbance approaches our area. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to low 30’s.
Tuesday, another strong disturbance will pass through our area, with the snow, sleet, and freezing rain, changing to rain in some parts of our area. There could be significant accumulations of ice in parts of our area. Highs will range from the upper 20’s in Northeastern PA to the low 40’s along the NJ Coast.
Wednesday will then be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.
Next Thursday, February 18th, snow, sleet, freezing rain, or rain will be likely as another strong disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.
Next Friday, February 19th, the snow, sleet, freezing rain, or rain, will end in the late morning or early afternoon as the disturbance pulls away from our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
Next Saturday, February 20th, through next Tuesday, February 23rd, are then looking nice with highs gradually rising from the mid 20’s to low 30’s next Saturday, to the upper 20’s to mid 30’s next Sunday, and the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Tuesday.
