Tuesday, February 2, 2021 - Daily Weather Discussion


This storm turned out to be everything it was supposed to be with snowfall amounts over 33 inches reported in Northern Sussex County and widespread amounts of 1-2 feet with slightly lower amounts in some coastal areas and on Eastern Long Island.

Moving forward, we will have some light snow and flurries, ending tonight with highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.


Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower or flurry. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.


Thursday will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid to upper 30’s.


Friday there will be a chance of snow, sleet, freezing rain, and rain, as a cold front approaches and then passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.


Saturday will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.


Sunday, there will be a chance of snow as a disturbance passing through the Mid-Western States may merge with a disturbance over the Gulf of Mexico, then turn northeastward towards our area. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.


Monday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower or flurry in the morning. Highs will be in the 20’s.


Next Tuesday, February 9th, will be variably cloudy with highs in the mid teens to mid 20’s.


Next Wednesday, February 10th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of rain or snow showers as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the 20’s.


Next Thursday, February 11th, through next Monday, February 15th are then looking nice with highs in the 20’s next Thursday and Friday, rising to the mid 20’s to low 30’s next Saturday, and the upper 20’s to mid 30’s next Sunday and Monday.
