Happy March 1st! Rain ending and then becoming windy this afternoon into tomorrow morning, with the next thing of interest a storm off the coast Sunday into Monday morning…
The rain will end this afternoon and early this evening from northwest to southeast as a cold front passes through our area and then it will become windy with a chance of a flurry tonight. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph, except up to 50 mph possible on Long Island.
Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a chance of a flurry in the morning. It will be windy in the morning with gusts up to 45 mph possible, except up to 50 mph possible on Long Island. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.
Wednesday through Saturday will then be nice with highs in the mid 40’s to low 50’s Wednesday, from the low 30’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 40’s in Central NJ Thursday, in the 30’s Friday, and from the mid 30’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 40’s in Central NJ Saturday.
Friday, a disturbance will head southeast from the Southern Rockies, reaching the Northern Gulf of Mexico Saturday morning. This disturbance will cross the Florida Peninsula Saturday evening, then turn northeastward. There is a slight chance that this disturbance could come close enough to our area to cause snow to develop Sunday, ending Monday morning, but it is more likely that it will miss our area to the south and east. I will however keep a close eye on it. Highs Sunday will range from the mid 30’s in Northeastern PA to the low 40’s in Central NJ and will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s next Monday.
Next Tuesday, March 9th, through next Sunday, March 14th are currently looking nice with highs rising to the upper 40’s to mid 50’s next Tuesday and the 50’s to low 60’s next Wednesday and Thursday, then dropping back to the 50’s next Friday, the upper 40’s to mid 50’s next Saturday, and the mid 40’s to low 50’s next Sunday.
