Wednesday, March 31, 2021 - Daily Weather Discussion


Rain developing today, changing to snow in places tomorrow morning before ending and becoming windy, then cold with a chance of a flurry in the morning, a nice Saturday, and then a rain or snow shower Easter morning…


A strong disturbance and cold front are approaching from the west and will cause rain to develop this afternoon from west to east. Highs will be in the upper 50’s and 60’s.


Tomorrow, the rain will end in the morning and early afternoon from southwest to northeast as the disturbance and cold front pass through our area. It will become windy, and the rain could change to snow before ending. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph. Highs will be in the upper 30’s and 40’s.


Total possible snowfall accumulation:  


A trace to a coating possible:  West Central and Northeastern NJ, Rockland, and Westchester Counties in NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT


A trace to an inch possible:  East Central PA


A trace to an inch or two possible:  Northwestern NJ and Orange and Putnam Counties in NY State


A coating to 3 inches possible, with up to 6 inches possible in the highest locations: Northeastern PA

Friday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a flurry in the morning. Highs will be in the 30’s to low 40’s.


Saturday will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 40’s to low 50’s.


Sunday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower in the morning. Highs will be in the mid to upper 50’s.


Monday through next Wednesday, April 7th, will then be nice with highs in the 50’s Monday, rising to the mid 50’s to low 60’s next Tuesday and Wednesday.

Next Thursday, April 8th, clouds will increase with a chance of rain developing at night as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to mid 60’s.


Next Friday, April 9th, there will be a chance of rain as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to low 60’s.


Next Saturday, April 10th, there will be a chance of rain ending in the afternoon and evening as the disturbance slowly departs our area. Highs will be in the 50’s.


Next Sunday, April 11th, through next Tuesday, April 13th, are then looking nice with highs in the 50’s next Sunday, rising to the mid to upper 50’s next Monday and Tuesday.
