Thursday, April 22, 2021 - Daily Weather Discussion

Cold with a bit of snow this morning in parts of our area, but otherwise nice until Saturday night when a strong disturbance reaches our area with rain into Sunday, and then gradually warming to near 80 by Wednesday…

It is much colder this morning with lows in the upper 20’s to low 30’s in some northern sections and some snow flurries and snow showers this morning. I had a snow shower early this morning here in Tewksbury Township, Hunterdon County, that left a light coating of snow on the grass. The rest of the day there will be a chance of a flurry or sprinkle in the unstable air behind the cold front from yesterday. Highs will only reach the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.

Tomorrow will then be a beautiful day, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 50’s.

Saturday will then be mostly sunny in the morning, with increasing cloudiness in the afternoon and rain developing at night from southwest to northeast as a strong disturbance approaches our area. Highs will be in the 60’s.

Sunday, the rain will end in the afternoon and evening from southwest to northeast as the disturbance pulls away from our area. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to mid 60’s.

Monday through next Thursday, April 29th, are then looking nice with highs in the mid 50’s to low 60’s Monday, rising to the 60’s Tuesday, and the 70’s Wednesday, then dropping back a bit to the upper 60’s to  mid 70’s next Thursday.

Next Friday, April 30th, clouds will increase with a chance of a shower at night. Highs will be in the 60’s.

Next Saturday, May 1st, through next Wednesday, May 5th, are then looking potentially unsettled with a chance of a shower each day as a stationary front may develop near our area. Highs will be in the low to mid 60’s next Saturday and Sunday, rising to the mid 60’s to low 70’s next Monday through Wednesday.

Have a fantastic day!
