Monday, May 3, 2021 - Daily Weather Discussion


Rain developing today; a chance of a shower tomorrow; showers or thunderstorms likely Wednesday; nice Thursday, but cooler; more showers Friday; and then a beautiful, but cool weekend…


Rain will develop today in the late morning and afternoon from west to east as a disturbance approaches our area. Highs will be in the upper 50’s to mid 60’s.


Tomorrow, the rain will end early in the morning, then it will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or sprinkle as the disturbance departs our area. Highs will be in the mid 60’s to mid 70’s.


Wednesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of showers or thunderstorms, especially at night, as a disturbance and cold front approach and then pass through our area. Highs will range from the  low to mid 60’s on Eastern Long Island and in Fairfield County, CT, to the mid to upper 70’s in Central NJ.


Thursday will then be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 50’s to low 60’s.


Friday will be variably cloudy with a chance of showers as another disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the 50’s.


Saturday and Sunday are then looking nice with highs rising from the 50’s Saturday to the mid 50’s to low 60’s Sunday.


Next Monday, May 10th, through next Thursday, May 13th will be variably cloudy with a chance of a late day shower each day. Highs will be in the 60’s.


Next Friday, May 14th, and next Saturday, May 15th, are then looking variably cloudy with highs in the low to mid 60’s next Friday and the 60’s next Saturday.


Next Sunday, May 16th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a late day shower. Highs will be in the mid 60’s to low 70’s.
