Hot today through Wednesday, with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm each day, then cooler starting Thursday with showers/thunderstorms likely Thursday through Saturday, but what about Independence Day?
There will be a chance of a shower or thunderstorm and it will be hot through Wednesday as warm air surges into our area from the south ahead of a slowly approaching cold front and disturbance. Highs will be in the mid 80’s to low 90’s, except the upper 70’s to low 80’s on Long Island today, the low 80’s on Long Island, the mid 80’s along the Coast, and the upper 80’s to mid 90’s inland tomorrow, and the mid 80’s on Long Island and the upper 80’s to mid 90’s elsewhere Tuesday and Wednesday.
Thursday through Saturday are then looking very unsettled with showers or thunderstorms likely each day as a cold front very slowly moves through our area with disturbances riding along it. Highs will be in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s Thursday and the mid 70’s to low 80’s Friday and Saturday.
Independence Day will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as there may still be some instability behind the cold front that will likely have moved through Saturday night. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.
Next Monday, July 5th, is finally looking like a high probability of a dry day with highs in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s.
Next Tuesday, July 6th, through next Thursday, July 8th, are then looking variably cloudy with a chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm each day with highs in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s next Tuesday and the 80’s next Wednesday and Thursday.
Next Friday, July 9th and next Saturday, July 10th, are then looking variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the 80’s.
