Severe thunderstorms possible today, showers and possibly a thunderstorm likely tomorrow, then looking nice and warming up Saturday through next Thursday, with our first heat wave likely in parts of our area Sunday through Tuesday…
Today will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm, especially near the coast and on Long Island this morning and everywhere tonight as a disturbance and cold front slowly approach from the west. Some of the storms could be severe. Highs will be in the 70’s.

Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy with showers or thunderstorms likely as a weak cold front and disturbance pass through our area. Highs swill be in the 70’s.
Saturday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s.
Sunday through next Thursday, June 10th, are then looking nice and warm, with highs in the mid 80’s to low 90’s Sunday through Tuesday, but cooler near the coast and especially on Long Island, then dropping a bit to the 80’s Wednesday and the upper 70’s along the coast and on Long Island, and the upper 70’s to mid 80’s, except the mid 70’s on Long Island next Thursday.
Next Friday, June 11th, will then be mostly cloudy with showers or thunderstorm likely as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.
Next Saturday, June 12th and next Sunday, June 13th, will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s next Saturday and the mid to upper 70’s next Sunday.
Next Monday, June 14th, through next Wednesday, June 16th, will then be nice with highs in the mid to upper 70’s next Monday, the 70’s next Tuesday, and the mid to upper 70’s next Wednesday.
