Hook Echo Indicating a Possible Tornado Near Ridgewood, Bergen County, NJ


Radar appears to be showing a hook echo, which means there is circulation in the storm and a potential tornado near Ridgewood, Bergen County, NJ.


Please be on the lookout and head to an interior room on the lowest level of your home, away from windows if you are in the path of this storm.  


This storm is heading eastward towards Oradell, Emerson, Westwood, Hillsdale, Old Tappan, Norwood, Harrington Park, Closter, Haworth, Demarest, Dumont, Cresskill, Alpine, Tappan, Sparkill, Palisades, Hastings-on-Hudson, and Dobbs Ferry.
