Showers and thunderstorms will be likely today as a disturbance remains stationary over our area. Highs will be only in the mid 60’s to low 70’s.
Tomorrow (Independence Day) will be variably cloudy with a chance of showers or thunderstorms as the disturbance finally starts to break down. Highs will be in the 70’s.
Monday will be variably cloudy with just a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm as the disturbance de[parts our area. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s.
Tuesday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the low 80’s on Long Island, the mid 80’s along the coast, and the upper 80’s to mid 90’s inland.
Wednesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm as a cold front approaches from the west and the remnants of Hurricane Elsa approach from the south. Highs will be in the mid 80’s in Northeastern PA, along the coast, and on Long Island, the upper 80’s in NYC, Southeastern NY State and inland Fairfield County, CT, and the low to mid 90’s in East Central PA, Central and Northern NJ.
Thursday, showers, and thunderstorms will develop, becoming heavy at times in the afternoon and evening as the cold front continues to approach from the west and the remnants of Hurricane Elsa approach from the south. Highs will be in the low to mid 80’s.
Friday through the following Friday will be variably cloudy with at least a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm as the cold front and remnants of Hurricane Elsa depart our area. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s.
